Client Profile

Painter’s Palate is a three-day festival hosted at Painter’s Lodge in Campbell River, BC, running September 18–20, 2026. It’s positioned as “The Island’s newest celebration of art, flavour, and community,” turning the historic oceanfront lodge into a “coastal canvas” where craft beer, world-class wine, culinary experiences, and visual art all come together. Core programming includes HOPS, VINE, CANVAS, Midnight Snack, and additional on-site experiences, with flexible options for guests: single-event tickets, Weekender Passes, local VIP bundles, and premium room-and-ticket packages that encourage people to stay on-site for the full weekend.

Beyond the lodge, the festival extends across North and Mid-Vancouver Island through “Palate Cleanser” events and partnerships with local venues, transportation providers, culinary partners, beverage vendors, and artists. Painter’s Palate is designed as a scalable platform for Vancouver Island’s creative and hospitality communities, connecting guests to makers, performers, and places while acknowledging that the event takes place on the unceded traditional territory of the Lig’il’daxw people: the Wei Wai Kum, We Wai Kai, and Kwiakah First Nations.

The Problem

Painter’s Lodge and its partners had a bold idea: turn Campbell River into a destination for a new kind of festival that brought art, flavour, and community together in one immersive experience, but nothing existed yet to support it. There was no brand, no story, no digital presence, and no event structure to explain what the weekend would look like or why anyone should come. They needed more than a logo or landing page; they needed a full identity and platform that could sell tickets, attract vendors and sponsors, and clearly communicate a first-year festival without past photos, testimonials, or word-of-mouth.

Our Solution

We partnered with the team behind Painter’s Palate to build the festival from the ground up, creating the brand, website, design system, advertising, and event strategy in one cohesive ecosystem. We developed a distinct “coastal canvas” identity, then designed and built a conversion-focused website that quickly answers what the festival is, where it happens, and how to get involved while guiding visitors into clear paths for tickets, lodging, VIP packages, and partner applications. Alongside this, we created campaign-ready visuals and messaging and helped structure the programming and partnership model so local vendors, transportation partners, and “Palate Cleanser” events across the North and Mid-Island all plug into a single, scalable festival experience.
